This course offers a format of equivalent quality during which participants will experience all key features of the MBCL curriculum\, including the main themes and practices. \nThemes include…\nthe evolutionary perspective and multi-layered brain; the three basic emotion regulation systems and the value of training our soothing system; expanding the stress theory with the psychological equivalents of fight\, flight\, freeze and their antidotes of self-kindness\, common humanity and mindfulness of suffering; tend and befriend; cultivating a compassionate mind and an inner helper rather than an inner critic; overidentifying and disidentifying; Four Friends for Life: loving kindness\, compassion\, sympathetic joy and equanimity. \nPractices include…\nthe soothing breathing rhythm\, compassionate imagery (safe place\, compassionate companion\, embodying compassion); relating compassionately to resistance\, desire and inner patterns; loving kindness towards ourselves and others; compassionate breathing; a compassionate body scan; walking and moving with kindness; compassionate letter writing; practising sympathetic joy\, gratitude\, forgiveness and equanimity; informal practices in daily life.During the online course\, relevant scientific insights underpinning compassion training will be woven into the teaching. \nPreparation for MBCL Teacher Training\nThis online MBCL Foundation Course satisfies one of the requirements for participating in the MBCL Teacher Training Programme. \nMBCL Teacher Training (TT) seminars are increasingly offered in various formats. Click for more Information. \nTo become an MBCL teacher one should be a certified mindfulness (MBSR or MBCT) teacher. However\, many professionals who are not certified mindfulness teachers can benefit from the teacher training to deepen mindfulness-based and compassion-focused interventions and enhance their therapeutic skills in individual or group work. \nPractical information: \nParticipants will receive a certificate of attendance.Number of participants: maximum 20\, minimum 10 \nTrainer\nJean-Daniel Rüedi PhD\, is a certified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living (MBCL).\nHe worked for more than 15 years in academia and private companies as project manager\, R&D manager and CEO\, before starting to work as freelance coach and consultant. He is the co-founder of O´Centre Formation and now works as trainer\, coach and therapist with teams and individuals. He is trained in coaching\, organization and relationship systems coaching\, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)\, hypnosis\, Non-Violent Communication (NVC)\, transpersonal therapy\, as well as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). He traind as MBSR teacher with the IMA and as MBCL teacher with the Mindfulness Network UK.
